Making money on the internet is not complicated, but it doesn't work automatically and with no effort! I think the main problem I come across is that people expect to set up their online system, and then leave it, and expect it to generate a great online income! Well, it's not going to happen! You will have to put effort into your marketing, which is the key to being successful online. If you don't keep promoting your site, you won't get traffic to it, and you won't therefore get any prospects to sell to! It really is a simple formula!

Business Mentoring – Good Thing Or Just Another Con?
If you have any interest in starting your own business online, you may well have come across the concept of the business mentor, which has been one of the hot topics over the last year.
Firstly, let me explain a bit about mentoring. By definition, mentoring is the act of guiding or helping another person, where you the mentor have great knowledge in your subject or profession, which you use to help an upcoming pupil. So in essence, it is a little bit like one to one teaching, with guidance and advice thrown in as well!
Mentoring is not a new concept, and has in fact been around for thousands of years. Think back to the days of the Grand Master at the martial arts schools in Japan, who guided his pupil from novice through to become a master himself.
Many large companies also use a mentoring system to help junior staff rise through the ranks, whereby they are assigned an experienced member of staff, who they can turn to, to discuss any problems they may encounter in the corporate structure.
So how can mentoring help me, you may be asking. I want to start my own online business.
Well, starting a business on the internet is much like starting any business. You have to initially set it up, and then build in it up over time. But what if you are setting up and you come across a problem? Who do you turn to? Or you may have managed to get set up, but you are struggling to build your business? That’s when the role of the mentor becomes very vital. He is your first port of call for information, as it is more than likely that he has experienced your problem in the past and has overcome it. So rather than going round and round in circles trying to find an answer, a solution should be forthcoming, allowing you to get on with growing your business!
So, if you are looking at starting out online, look for a business that has a mentor system in place, as I can assure you that it will save you loads of time and will definitely help you to succeed in your business!
Finally, choose your mentor carefully, as there are many people out there all claiming to be mentors or gurus! One of the best ways to test them out is to contact them, as if you can never get hold of them, they are not going to be able to help you if you have a problem, are they?

Two Key Elements For Success With Your Online Business
I was speaking to a guy the other day, and he asked me what I thought were the two key things to succeeding with an online business. These two words sprang straight to mind.
Focus and Persistance.
It is very easy to get carried away with all the opportunities available on the internet, thinking that this one isn't working , I'll try this new one. All you do is go from one to another, never really concentrating on any particular one, so never getting any success. You do really need to FOCUS on your chosen business, and dedicate your time to it. You need to PERSEVERE with your business. Just because you are not earning thousands in the first month, doesn't mean that you won't in the future! You really do have to lay the groundwork, as in any business, before you can reap the rewards.
It is all too easy to give up, but if you do, I can assure you that you definately won't succeed!

Secrets of Title Writing - Creating a Killer Title for Your Article
Writing articles can be one of the easiest, most productive methods to increase your online presence.
However, if your articles never get read, you have wasted your time and you could perhaps have done something more productive with your time.
So, how do you ensure that your articles get read?
Stop and think what you would do if you were searching through an article site, trying to find an article of interest. Yes, like most people, you would scan through the titles! This makes your title extremely important if you want to get your article read by as many people as possible, which is generally why we all post articles.
Think about how other media, such as magazines and newspapers, deal with their headlines. When you are in a shop scanning the rack, what is it you are generally looking at? That’s right, all the headlines, to see which one interests you most! You then pick up the magazine, and scan through for the article associated with the headline. The exact same principle is used when scanning articles on a web site.
So now we understand the theory, how do we go about producing an eye catching title for our article?
I find that the best way is to basically brainstorm, have a bit of fun, and write down the first things that come into your head related to your article. At first they might not seem to be what you really want, but it’s all about getting ideas at this stage. Try to get a few headlines down straight away, then you can go back and start to analyse them individually.
The other aspect that you do need to consider at this point are keywords. Remember that this is all going to be web based, so you need to try to introduce some hot keywords in to your title, so that when the search engines start trawling and analysing, they pick up on your article, and give you a high ranking in the search engines.
Now, you will find that you start to tweak them, changing a word here, moving the words around, until you come up with a couple of headlines which have great keywords and lots of impact. Now, leave them!
Come back a while later or the next day, and review them again. Coming at your titles fresh, you can see them in a whole new light. I normally find I will then give them a little tweak again, before deciding which one will go on to be my finished headline.
Here are some of my original ideas for this article, to give you an example of how it worked for me.
